i’m thinking about spring colours today, the daffodils in my neighbour’s yard and the yellow roses outside my work building, and the pink cherry blossoms by the water! i’m feeling inspired and positively motivated. after work, i plan to pick up another 24×36″ canvas to play with on my days off.
two canvases in progress, acrylic, victoria bc.
spring is coming! the combo of new spring colours along with the bright blues of the pacific ocean near my house are very inspiring. i’m enjoying painting with my windows open for a spring breeze and the sound of birdsongs – here are some colour studies to enjoy.
continuing my love for watercolours! this one is on a 8×14″ watercolour paper, which is so much better then the sketchbook i usually use. i’m looking forward to doing more on these papers!
an old acrylic i felt like sharing! i’ve been primarily using watercolours for the past couple of months, but i’m thinking i should get back into acrylics.
i haven’t posted in a little while due to some personal struggles but now i’m back! i’ve been focusing on mainly watercolours and poetry but i have hopes to work my way back into acrylics. in the meantime here is a watercolour in a new type of style that i was experimenting with. it was fun to do!
recent sketchbook entry done originally in blue ink and then layered with blue, yellow, and pink watercolours. the original sketches were done quite quickly so i enjoyed spending extra time with watercolours to blend and add to the original drawings! i’ve been adding more colours to my sketchbook recently and it’s been wonderful so far.
